TISAC Computing Workshop

Bromsgrove International School are pleased to invite interested teachers to the TISAC computing workshop on Friday the 2nd of June. An afternoon of thought-provoking discussions on some of the things TISAC schools have been doing this year in the areas of computing, technology, and design. All teachers of ICT & technology are welcome to attend at no cost.

TISAC Computing Workshop Outline

12:00 – Introduction, welcomes and coffee.

12:30 Р Introduction to the MakerSpace, Project Based Learning and the Maker Movement in schools.

Our Makerspace

1 pm – Drone Creation Competition – self build drone kit demo.

1 :30 pm – Google Cardboard demo – VR in the Classroom.

2 pm break

2:30 pm – Presentation of robotics, 3D printing, Littlebits, in the MakerSpace and successes/lessons learnt so far after one year of the MakerSpace in Bromsgrove.

Each attendee can try their hand at 3D modelling and the LittleBits & Robotics we have

3 pm РSwift Playgrounds & Coding break out into pairs to explore this, the MakerSpace and feedback

Discuss the future, joint competitions & projects

Time for others to present if desired & AOB

3:50 pm – expected close of session.
